Beauty Review: Dior HydrAction Skin Tint SPF 20

NOTE: Try this product at your own risk. If it works for me, it does not mean it will work for you too. Everyone has different types of skin. My skin consists of dry - combination - sensitive type of skin.

FTC Disclaimer: I did not get paid to review this product. I also did not get this product for free. I bought this at Sephora.com and used it at my own risk. This beauty review is only my mere opinion.

Information and some photos credited to Sephora.com

Dior HydrAction Deep Hydration Skin Tint SPF 20 is a tinted facial  moisturizer with SPF 20.

Description from Sephora.com says, Dior HydrAction Deep Hydration Skin Tint SPF 20 is a velvety, sheer face tint with ultra-fine pigments and light-reflecting micro-pearls. This luxurious texture creates a natural veil of fresh color and radiance, for the illusion of bare skin with the promise of perfect hydration. It corrects imperfections, evens the skintone, and also contains a SPF 20 sun protection and the irrigating Aquacapt™ Complex to reinforce the skin's natural moisture reserves all day long.

I got the Natural #2 which I think is perfect for my skintone. I use my MAC Stippling brush to apply it.

PROS: It contains SPF 20, which claims to protect us from UV rays from the sun, making us less prone on getting sun spots (from cumulative sun damage) and fine lines and wrinkles. It also has light-reflecting micro pearls that makes you look glowy and flawless. It blurs imperfection, hides redness and conceals dark circles.

When I use this tinted moisturizer, I don't usually wear any concealer no more because it tends to get heavy. It is buildable but very sheer. If you have lots of imperfections, it won't cover it that much.

CONS: I think more of Cons that Pros in this product. For $38, I had so many expectations! Since my skin nowadays is very dry, almost cracking, I expect this product to be very moisturizing and hydrating (at least that what it claims right?). But to my dismay, it left me more dry, especially on my T-zone. it created dry patches and looks cake-y around my nose. I hate that look - so unnatural! To my surprise, it does not show on pictures how dry and cake-y it is. lol.

OVERALL: Uhm, I am not satisfied with this product. I love the L'egere more than this. I won't repurchase. No Thank You. I'm thinking maybe this will work more for the Oily Skin Type, but for Dry Skin, I won't ever recommend this product.

Beauty Review: MUFE HD Microperfecting Primer in Pink

NOTE: Try this product at your own risk. If it works for me, it does not mean it will work for you too. Everyone has different types of skin. My skin consists of dry -combination - sensitive type of skin.

Image and Information from Sephora.com

According to Sephora.com, these primers are lightweight, oil-free complexion corrector that enhances the skin's texture and primes the skin for make up application.

HD Microperfecting Primer deeply nourishes, moisturizes, and softens the skin, creating a glowing effect. Creates a protective layer on the skin allowing foundation to glide on easily and last longer.

I decided to try the PINK one because it claims that: It brightens the complexion/counteracts sallow undertones. Now you need to understand what "sallow" means first before you decide to try this color.

Sallow - adj.-er-est.
Of a sickly yellowish hue or complexion.

Also means: ashen, pale, pasty, and colorless.

According to Make Up Forever, The Pink color is great for yellowish undertone or really pale complexion.

So this is before I applied Make Up Forever HD Microperfecting Primer in Pink [if you noticed, I'm more "yellow" in this BEFORE Picture than the AFTER Picture. I just want to let you know that its not because of the Primer, its because of the lightning]

BEFORE

AFTER

Please don't mind my acne scars.. I'm still trying to find ways to make them fade..

PROS: It mattifies the skin, gets rid of excessive oil, makes the foundation or any tinted moisturizer glides in smoothly. Makes the skin extra soft. Very lightweight, not silicone-y like the other primers out there. It is smooth and easy to apply. It lasts all day. It doesn't smell anything.

CONS: The price of course, and it does not really brighten up my skin. For me, its the same. I was very disappointed because I had high hopes for the Pink one. It didn't counteract the yellowness of my skin.

OVERALL: I won't repurchase the Pink one. I actually returned it at Sephora and got myself the Blue one again. I love the Blue one better because it truly brightens up my skin. I'll try the Green one next and will let you guys know :)

Update: November 21, 2009

I am off. Yes, finally after working 64 hours this week, I'm finally off!! Wooohooo! But then, I've been feeling really sick. I took the Seasonal Flu vaccine and the H1N1 Vaccine. After that, I had muscle weakness, headache and dizziness. I dunno, maybe its just me you know, having psychological sickness. Hahaha!

I am just to lazy to blog nowadays. I'm really sorry. I didn't have time to go and drop comments to my lovely blogger girls and or answer questions from my readers. If you have questions and want an immediate answer, just gmail me :)

I am happy to tell you guys that the eye cream that I got from ~H2O+ is working really great. I work crazy hours and barely sleep, but I noticed that the eye cream keeps my eyes from being puffy in the morning. I will review it more later..

I haven't been using my Clarisonic Mia. I've been very bad and lazy, plus I work at nights so I don't even  have time to clean my face. I'm so bad. I need time to relax.

I won't work starting Nov 30 - Dec 06. My grandma is coming from the Philippines and I just want to spend time with her. I'm so excited. :)

Well, see you guys next time and thank you for supporting me..

Pacquiao Night & Date with the Paperdoll

Ahh! I have been so busy lately.. I thought I wouldn't be able to blog today [mind you its already 1:41am].. Back to work together. I can't believe it! My weekend went by so quick! I had so much fun though :] On Saturday, we went to Orange County. Two reasons: to meet with Diana to shop at Sephora and to watch the Pacquiao-Cotto Fight [Bet $30 for Pacquiao].

Benefit's "Lady's Choice" Lipstick
What do you think?

Metal braces at the bottom

Then we went to South Coast to meet with Diana [Paperdollrevenge.blogspot.com].. we went to Sephora and got some things there! Yippeee! She needs to show you guys her haul :] Then we got some Starbucks afterwards. We didn't get to hang out that much because we [adrian and I]  had to go a little bit early to pick up some foods for the Pacquiao and Cotto fight.

Picture infront of Henri Bendel. They have cute stuff there! Too bad no headbands :(

Manny Pacquiao (a Filipino boxer) won the fight at 12th round. I am so proud that he won. One of the best fights I've ever watched. Cotto is a good sport. He accepted his defeat and said "Pacquiao is the best fighter I've ever fought".

I  bet $30 on Pacquiao. Haha. I should have bet more :P

Images credit to: fightnews.com

Ohhh! Look at his face! Looks animated isn't?

Anyway, I felt bad for Cotto afterwards, because like I said, he is a good sport. A really good fighter. I also felt  bad about his cuts :(

Now, onto my haul.. ahahah! I know everyone is excited to see what I got over the weekend. Whenever I'm reading a blog or watching a Youtube video, nothing excites me more than to see/read about hauls :)

If you spend $50 or  more, you'll get this clutch and samples for free :)

I got this one because my MAC TM is drying my face up! Don't get me wrong, I really like that TM but I noticed  my chin has dry patches after I applied it. So hopefully Dior HydrAction TM will work better on me. :) Reviews soon!

I am also excited to finally own not one, but two YSL Lipsticks! Woohoo!! I fell in love with them when I tried them at Sephora. They are so creamy and pigmented. I want more!! :P

I got #13 Peach Passion (vibrant peachy pink) and #14 Orange shiver (soft reddish orange)

They look similar in the pictures but in real life, you'll know the difference :) The Peach Passion is obviously very peach pink and the Orange Shiver is more like coral-ly. I love both colors. I also want to get #26 Tender Peach. Maybe on Christmas :P

On Sunday, I went to Glendale Galleria to buy an eye cream at ~H2O+. I've decided to better take care of my eyes since I'm always working grave yard shift. I only get 4-5 hours of sleep when I get lucky *sigh* so I got this eye cream. They said its great for dark circles, puffiness, and wrinkles/fine lines. We shall see!

Taken just this hour :P Getting ready to sleep!

I have not check the other people's blog. I'm sorry. Will try to do that on my spare time.. I'm really tired. Not even looking forward to working 16 hours tomorrow. :[

Sephora Haul Part 2

Sephora haul Part 2! Yup, I ordered another  round, and I thought I would do another "no-make-up buy" but I failed miserably! Hahaha! Well, I gotta stock up some "necessities" :P

Guerlain Meteorites in Mythic 01 - influenced by Ms. Mona from http://www.makemeblushhh.com/. I am a fan of her blog and when she mentioned this product on her blog, I went right ahead and see what's it all about. Well, I ended up buying it! Woohoo!! Reviews will come up soon. Look how pretty the beads are!

Its my 1st Guerlain ever! I'm sure it won't be my last (hint hint at the  hubby)

Two Faced Shadow Insurance - I have the famous UDPP and yes I love UDPP! But it dries up so fast and I hate the packaging even though they changed their applicator, I still dislike the genie bottle. Anyway, I tried this from my friend and its also long lasting as the UDPP but I heard that if you have oily skin, UDPP works best :] Is that true?

Sephora Long Lasting Liner and Lip and Cheek Stain - I need a good liquid liner and I heard great reviews about Sephora liner. The best part is the price! :] and Also I need a lip stain that will lasts long so I don't have to re-apply when I'm at work, so I got this Lip Stain. Its only $10 bucks :]

Benefit Lipstick in Lady Choice - This is their 100 points gift. Its so small.. lol, but I love the color so I guess its worth it :P I didn't get the Kat Von D 500 points because it was chalky, not worth my hard earned points..

Anyway, that's it! :] Hope you guys are having a great weekend. I will be at Orange County tomorrow because that's the nearest Ikea from my place. Hahahaaa.. I love you all! I wil try to do Beauty Reviews soon..

Sephora Haul

I received my order last Wednesday I think? But I wasn't able to make a post right away. If you follow me on Twitter, then you know how busy I've been at work.. 16 hours almost everyday. It was insane!! I did five 16 hours in two weeks. Doesn't seem a lot but it was just so tiring. Stressful too "/ I feel like I have no more social life..

Seriously, after work, I go straight home.. Then wake up to my next work. It's like a routine already.. no fun.. "/ Sometimes, it's depressing to not have that much friends around here..

SEPHORA FF SALE
I only got 3 things.. I got the Clarisonic Mia in Pink, Amazing Cosmetics Concealer in Medium Beige, and Stila Kajal Eyeliner in Topaz.

Stila Kajal Eyeliner in Topaz is a nice creamy color. It's less harsh than the white eyeliner. I bought this because I want to look more awake. Haha. It brightens up my eyes. :] Will review it soon. But it's so worth my $18 bucks :]

Amazing Cosmetics Concealer is a very creamy concealer. Easy to blend. Will review this soon also :] Good for dark circles, redness, and hiding blemishes. Even tattoo [ though I don't have any ].

Last one is the Clarisonic Mia in Pink. I was so excited, I tried it last night. 1st experience with it was kinda confusing you know because I used a timer for my forehead, chin and nose.. ahahaha.. But it made my skin so soft and smooth. As for my acne, it kind of dried the next day. Scars are still there. I will update you guys again next time.

Very portable, and good for people who likes to travel because the plug is universal :]

It comes with the Cleanser, an extra brush, a pouch and the charger. It only has one speed. I would love to invest in the full size Clarisonic someday :]

If you think about it, it is very worth splurging.
Good skin = Less Make Up = Less Money you will spend.

I remember the 1st time I started paying attention to  my skin. I had horrible skin before, [ well, I still don't have perfect skin but it was way worse before ] and wouldn't want to wash my face at night. I had so much acne on my T-zone and I didn't care.

Then I discovered the world of make up. I started wearing make up and my acne got worse. "/ I bought the MAC Studio Fix Liquid Foundation and set it with MAC Studio Fix Powder. Haha. Double Foundation! It was the only way to hide my ugly skin.

Then I started paying attention to my skin, using mild cleanser day and night, it started going away, then I was able to stop using foundation.

Start Caring for your skin now. It's not yet too late. Remember, Prevention is better than cure. :]
